Hey
Cutters...
At the finish of last weeks email I asked you to guess who would be the next celebrity to do the Diamond Cutter hands sign with me and I gave you the hint of " Bow Wow". That being said, did any of you figure it out before you saw Snoop Dog in the picture? Just curious...more on that later...
Snoop and DDP doing the Diamond Cutter
The YRG DVDs are On
Sale Now and are going out the door like hot cakes...
I want to thank you all for your heart felt emails to the DVDs...
All the hard work is obviously paying off...
Right now we are putting together another sister site
to diamonddallaspage.com called YRGworkout.com which
will have a ton of streaming video so that you can see pieces of
the YRG Workout in action... you will also see some great testimonials
and the story behind it. I will keep you posted...
We have also just started our own MYSPACE.COM site... What
a surprise huh? We are still under construction (thanks Morgen)
Here's how you get there http://www.myspace.com/YRGworkout ...
The reason we set this site up is for all the people who are a
part of Team YRG and fornew people who
are just getting on the YRG program and
want to help each other out as you move along... In the coming
weeks you will get to talk to some of the staples of YRG like Terri
Lange and hopefully Smokey... Terri just emailed
me and let me know that she will be up and running on the MySpace
site this week... which is really great because now all you ladies
who email about Terri will be able to get in direct contact with
this incredibly inspirational individual. If you want to read a great article that was done on me and YRG by Philip Nutman check this out... http://www.upagainstthewallmag.com/ISSUE01/DDP.html I think it is one of the best articles I have read about YRG and I love how the writer worked in one of Team YRG regulars Jim Mabes... Jim is quite a story... be watching for him on the http://www.myspace.com/YRGworkout site.
What else? The YRG World tour kickoff at Golds
Gym in Venice was great... I'd like to
thank everyone who came out to support YRG and all the new people
who experienced it for the first time.
YRG at Golds Gym in Venice, CA
We didn't get many of the muscle heads trying YRG but many of them
came by and checked it out... I'll get'em next time... remember...before
you can really be flexible in the body you must become flexible in
the mind... you may see a guy walking around with a camera in the
Golds gym pictures. Thats Arthur Klien who came
by to do some filming for his new movie called "Y-Yoga" which YRG
and DDP are becoming a pretty big part of... Arthur, like my friends
Kate and and Slick Nick from the movie Project Y, like that fact
I am sort of the antithesis of yoga while at the same time YRG is
still yoga based... Arthur is pretty much done filming everything
for his film... he is just waiting for me to bring back footage of
training our troops YRG in Iraq... that will be classic... Sergeant
Hulka, get ready to go bro...This Thursday August 10th, I'll be down The Jersey Shore at the Brielle Sports Club in Brielle NJ go to the site for directions (Official Site) be there if you can make it... I will be doing a beginners class at 5:30 pm and kick ass YRG class at 6:30 pm ... Angella and Iwill be at down the shore from Tuesday till Saturday. BTW, my sister Sally has finally moved her business out of her house and bought a building for her travel agency called The Travel Smiths if you ever need a travel agent I will guaran-Damn-tee ya there is not a better one on the planet... After that, Ang and I are headed to one of my favorite cities on the planet... Chicago, Illinois for Angella's Grandad's 90th birthday then back to LA... On September 22rd, YRG with DDP and the Yoga-doc will be headed to Tampa and working our way down the west coast of Fla. and then head back up the east coast... I'll keep you posted on that. It's funny because I had so much sh*t going on this last month that I totally forgot to tell you guys that I was headed down to San Diego to do Comic Con July 20th - 23rd... Last year at Comic Con we premiered "Devils Rejects"... this year I had 3 movies not actually premiering but had whats called panel discussions... it's where we show scenes from each the movies and then have a panel discussion afterwards ... Snoop Dogs "Hood of Horror" got the most hype obviously because well... because it's Snoop... it was a great panel lead by the creator the Hood of Horror and director my movie "Driftwood" Tim Sullivan... everyone did a great job... since Snoop was caught in heavy traffic coming down from LA... What a surprise huh? It was up to us to fill the void... on the panel was Pooch Hall who you heard me talk about just last week when we were at the "Hoods Of Horror" LA film festival screening... Pooch is going to be a HUGE star someday... he has a million dollar smile... great charisma and talent... As a matter of fact my boy Pooch has a new show starting up this fall called The Game... check it out...
Pooch Hall at Comic Con is the Game!
Also there was buddy writer/producer Jonathan Q who
gave me my part and named me Jersey... as well as
the legend Ernie Hudson, my girl Lyn Shae,
the sexy Brande Roderick and Daniella Alonso and
rounding out the panel was producer Martin Shore who
is such a class act (I also want to thank his lovely wife Robyn for
taking the pictures you are looking at since my camera died right
before I got there) this was a fun crew to be with on and off the
set... go figure me wearing the new YRG t-shirt... What a surprise
hun?
Brandy, Q, Tim, Lyn, Snoop, Ernie, DDP,
Pooch and Daniella...
There was over 4,500 people and you know that most of them came
to see Snoop... and guess who's not going to make it... What
a surprise hun?? Our PR girl Nicole saved the
day by getting Snoop on the cell phone and actually did a call in
on his cell phone and the people still loved it... when you don't
have to be physically at your own panel discussion for you own movie
that's got your name on it and you still leaving the people happy
... now that's being OVER... this cat or dog can't do nothing wrong
I've never seen anything like it...
Q, Tim, Snoop, DDP and Martin
Anyway as you can see above Snoop did finally make
the PR portion which is the most important part for all of us concerned
... Snoop came as charismatic as ever... totally laid back and within
moments the room was his... after he did the press run it's picture
time and at some point Tim says I would like to get a picture of
DDP and Snoop ... when I walked up to Snoop I stuck out my left hand
and just asked Snoop to complete the Diamond Cutter sign with his
right hand which he did graciously ... after we ran the through all
the photographers ... Snoop said to me "Hey Diamond we miss one of
the boys over there and Snoop suggested putting back up the Diamond
Cutter sign again" and yes he called it the Diamond Cutter
sign not the Roc sign... as we were taking
pictures Snoop says to me... "You know Diamond... I like this Diamond
Cutter sign... it's kinda Gangsterish ... I think I might
have to steal it..."? which of course made me laugh
out loud... I thought of things to say like well you better to
get in line but I thought that would just be taking the low
road and it was Classic just as it was... Like I said I just laughed
my ass off... later I would realize maybe he was just seeing if I
would sell it or not... you know get me on a rant about Jay-Z or
something... funny thing was when Snoop was getting ready to leave
I grabbed my girl Angella and asked him if would
take an other picture with the 2 of us... of course Snoop loved Angella... what
a surprise huh? Aas we were doing the double cross hands Diamond
Cutters Snoop says "yeah we should be doing the Diamond Cutter sign
since you invented it Diamond" At that point I was sure he was just
ribbing me about stealing the sign... which even made it funnier
to me... I really enjoyed meeting him... This was a Classic DDP moment...
Snoop DDP and Angella
The panels for "Driftwood" and "Spilnter" went
well but we only had about a third of the time we had for HoH but
it's all good PR... or Saturday night Angella ,Jana and I watched
our first screening of "Spinter" I was happy with
it and considering that this flick only cost about $300,000.00 in
post production it is absolutely amazing... my part got a little
chopped down because of time and technical sh*t but I was just happy
to be a part of the team... I learn something new on every flick
I get... I want to thank Michael Olmas for the opportunity.
Dallas Page, Michael D. Olmos, Resmin
Atis and Edward James Olmos
As for Driftwood, they are talking about a February
release... I'm hoping it goes to MTV but
it may go to Spike or The Science Fiction
channel and then to the uncensored DVDs which should be
killa... I will keep you posted...Well thats all for this long ass email. Remember if you want to see all the pictures go to www.diamonddallaspage.com As usual it's been your pleasure as well as mine... Be Unstoppable...? Do YRG & Live Life @ 90%
