Hey Guys,

This picture here is with me and my girls wishing you a very Merry Christmaskunanzika and a Healthy Happy New Year!

A lot of you guys have been asking me how I got invited to the Red Carpet Premier of The Wrestler and also participate in the Roundtable discussion.

I got a call from a buddy of mine, Scott Epstien, who said he was putting together a legends panel with Piper, The Hammer, Lex, Beefcake and asked me if I wanted to be a part of it. The funny part is I was trying to get an invite to the premier and now it is been handed to me along with being on the panel for The Wrestler with Fox Searchlight Pictures. Fox Searchlight has done pretty much every successful Indy movie you have seen so I knew it was going to be a first class act.

The Red Carpet premier was at Academy of Motion Pictures, Arts and Science in Los Angeles. I was supposed to meet Lex at the Red Carpet but his flight was delayed due to weather. While I was on the Red Carpet I got to meet Marisa Tomei, she is a sweetheart. When I got to the top of the stairs I ran into Beefcake and Valentine. I did not know this at the time but they had a lot to do with the behind the scenes research that went into The Wrestler. Brutus told me that he has known Mickey for years and was a close friend of his. Mickey spent a lot of time with him and Hammer in Florida getting the reel scoop on how it was back in the day…and they would know…J Brutus commented to me later the this movie is only the tip of the iceberg…we both laughed and in the same expression sighed…. Ahh wresting.

I also ran into Ernest "The Cat" Miller who plays the Ayatollah that ends up being the arch rival of Mickey Rourke's Randy "The Ram" Robinson. I gotta tell you, Ernest did a hell of a job in and out of the ring. On a side note, Ernest will be playing a George Foreman in an upcoming HBO movie. As you will see he has already put on a bit of weight for that part as well LOL. Before the movie started Darren Aronofsky got up in front of the audience and talked about the making of the movie. He introduced the leads of the cast and then told the story of one of the screenings that was the highlight of all of the screenings. It was one when Hot Rod Roddy Piper was there and Piper said something like I don't know where you did your research from, but this is a story that needs to be told. It was very emotional for Roddy. What he said was way more elaborate and impactful than that but you get the idea. He then ask Roddy to please stand up "take a bow if you will". The crowd was very gracious. He then individually introduced Hammer, Brutus, myself, Flair and Lex….who wasn't there yet because of the flight delay. We all got a warm response. BTW Lex's journey makes Randy "The Ram" Robinson's journey a walk in the park...more on that later.

So what did I think about the movie…I thought Mickey Rourke was outstanding. He is truly one of the boys. I mean look at his checkered past. Take actor out and put wrestler anywhere along there. I actually went to a screening of the movie before I went to the premier because I wanted to go and hear the Q and A with Mickey.

For starters, I was a huge Mickey Rourke fan coming into this. From the Pope of Greenwich Village, Diner, Angel Heart to 9 1/2 weeks…this guy was the man. Then he fell from the grace of Hollywood, which he talked about in the Q and A. He talked about how wild and crazy he was and how he blew every unbelievable opportunity laying at his feet. He talked about all those years of not being able to find work and how grateful he was to have the opportunity to get back to work….I love the fact that this guys second chance came in the role of playing a wrestler. Which by the way, going into this movie he had no respect for wrestling at all…his words, not mine. You have to understand Mickey was a Pro Boxer. A lot of people thought he was nuts when he quit acting and started boxing. The back story is the Mickey was a Pro Boxer before he was an Professional Actor. There is a segment of boxers, Ali, Frazier, Tyson who love wrestling. And there is another sector of boxers who look down on it. Mickey was one of the latter of the group. That is until he stepped into the ring his first time as a wrestler.

Once Mickey got into the ring he realized what everyone realizes.. you can't fake gravity. After hearing the detailed stories from Beefcake, Valentine and others he realized what we do in the ring is an athletic art form. At the Q& A he said he had so much respect for those of us who made our living in the squared circle. From what I could see he really got it in so many ways. And those of you who are the biggest wrestling critics will see it not only in his acting but in the ring. I was amazed by how good the wrestling is in this movie. There were no stunt double for Mickey Rourke. He did things that made me pop. They even came up with his own finish that I have never seen done before…the Ram Jam…see the movie to see this move. The coolest part was that Mickey really cared what the boys thought of his performance.

The Wrestler, the movie, is a heart wrenching tale of Randy "The Ram" Robinson. Rourke could be a number of guys, dead or alive that continue to go to the squared circle for the smell of the popcorn and the roar of the crowd. The Director Darren Aronofsky gives the brawler of his movie exactly the no BS honesty that it needs. Having worked some of the independent scenes watching the locker room scenes was a trip for me. I have to throw a flag though on the one scene with the Locker room steroids....that would never have happened. I am not saying it didn't happen but it would never have happened like that. But overall Aronofsky did a phenomenal job with this movie. Marisa Tomei plays an aging stripper, who by the way was smoking hot in this movie was dead on…I have always seen strippers a lot like wrestlers…once you get a taste of the money you can make in it, it is hard to walk away from it. That is one of the reasons why you see so many guys stay in the business for so many years….where can you go and make grand a night in the real world? You can't. Overall, the way I see it, Aronofsky legitimizes what we do not just as an art form but as a sport... showing the blood, the sweat and the tears.

After the movie I walked up to Mickey and waited as one fan after another came up and congratulated him. He was very gracious and made everyone feel important. When he finally finished he turned to me and I introduced myself and he said "I know exactly who your are, what'd you think?" My response was "I thought you nailed it bro" … and he gave me a big hug. We talked for a bit about the movie and the round table Q and A that I attended. We took some pictures of my signal for the Diamond Cutter and his signal for the Ram Jam.

As I walked away from Mickey I caught Lex out of the corner of my eye. I snuck up behind him and gave him a huge hug. It's phenomenal to see Lex up and walking again. Of course he's taking baby steps with his cane but he's taking steps when all the odds where stacked against him that he'd never walk again. I'm going to get into detail on Lex in my next email but for now if you want to know where he's at read this article, it's very powerful.

The next day I went to Fox Studios to meet the boys for a roundtable discussion that was hosted by sports anchor Damon Andrews. Damon was a total pro and asked each of us individual questions so he kept the conversation going so that no-one stepped on each other. Beefcake, Hammer, Piper, Lex.. each one was powerful with their presence and what they had to say. This is an interview you don't want to miss. It was a very professional three camera shoot and will be seen on Fox Searchlight "The Wrestler" website (www.foxsearchlight.com/thewrestler)… I will let you know about it once it's up there.. It's definitely worth the watch! For now you may want to go to the site and check it out. It'll let you know when The Wrestler is coming to your town, or close to your town. It also has some great interviews and footage on it.

In closing, we have had such a great response to the Holiday Pricing for the YRG Workout that we are going to keep the site up through the holidays and hold off on redoing the site for now. We just added another special, if you buy any 2 DVD sets you get Free Priority shipping (they tell me that means it gets to you in 2-3 days.) You can see the store at www.YRGWorkout.com

Hey Guys

In my last email , I talked about the movie "The Wrestler". I also talked about how I did a round table with Lex, Piper, Beefcake and Hammer for the DVD . Well , if you wanna actually see the that round table discussion, just go to the bottom of this email and click on the link . Also, if you haven't heard , Micky Rourke won the Best Actor Golden Globe last week for his killer performance. The film opens nationally this Friday on January 23rd so check it out. I would love to hear what you guys think about it.

Ya know I'm often asked who inspires me, DDP, the guy who Lives Life at 90% . Well I would have to say Arthur Boorman would have to be at the top of that list.. Watching Arthur accomplishments over this last year and a half is pretty damn Powerful. The next person on my list would be Lex Luger. The people who inspire me are the people who lead by example. 14 months ago Lex was a quadriplegic. The only part of his body he could move from his neck down was his right pinky. While everyone around him was in a panic, Lex remained calm . His faith in a God is unshakable, and I believe it is the main reason he was strong that fateful day and continues to get stronger as the days go by. It's that inner strength he has that inspires me. He doesn't just talk the talk.. Lex Walks the Talk. Over the last 14 months , Lex and I have become closer than we we've ever been.. But it wasn't always like that. As a matter of fact , I think its safe to say that Lex thought I was a bit of a joke when I first got in to the WCW back 1990 , but to be honest he wasn't alone:) It actually took me years to earn enough of Lex Luger's respect before he would ask me to even ride on the road with him.

Today , Lex Luger is one of one the most Amazing individuals I have the pleasure of spending quality time with.. He is a total inspiration to everyone around him.. To really appreciate that statement you have to know the old Lex.. Back the day Lex had it all. He was a Main Event guy from the day he started in our business. As a matter of fact, he was the first wrestler to ever get a multi year million dollar guaranteed contact. Toward the end of his career , he had the multi million dollar home on the 18th hole on one of Atlanta most prestigious country clubs. He was the first to have the tricked -out base -banging Suv and a slant - nose Porche , which was also tricked out to the max. He had real money in the bank, he owned plenty of real estate , and 2 state of the art gyms (Main Event Fitness). He had a beautiful wife and two great kids who he loved , and who he always made time for no matter how busy he was. He also had the best body in professional wrestling. I called him the Cyborg - It was like he wasn't even from our planet. Lex Luger truly was the "Total Package". He had it all and he knew it. To say he was a bit of prima donna would be an understatement. The WWE didn't give him the gimmick "The Narcissist " by accident. He worked hard and played harder which is really saying something. I could never understand how Lex could come off a 14 day road trip, wrestling all over the country, party just about every night, and still make his 6 am flight home. He'd head right to the Main Event gym, workout like a mad man.. Example... I once spotted him doing squats and I'm talking full squats where your butt hits the floor. He had 405 pounds on the bar and I never ever needed to spot him till he got to his last rep which was # 25... Ye s , I said 25 reps with 405 pound on the bar ! . That's one of the reasons I called him the Cyborg. After a workout like , that he would play 18 holes of golf and then catch hi s son ' s basketball practice and his little girl 's dance recital. At the time I had no idea how he did it. But that was then and this is now.

Today- It's as if God has stripped Lex of everything , including his perfect body , to rebuild Lex from the inside out. And by the way those are Lex's own words , not mine.
Click for More Photos
Today's Lex's life is much simpler and grounded but he's still as busy as ever. In my follow up email, my buddy Marlon will be doing an interview with Lex about where he is in his life today. I promise you it will be an interview you will not want to miss. The last time I saw Lex was a week ago and we did what I am calling the embryonic stages of YRG. It's the third time we did YRG together, and it was mind blowing to me how much he improved from one session to the next. I remember Lex asking , "So what are we going to do , Dallie ?", and I just smiled and said , "To tell you truth , Lex , I don't know because I don't know what you can or can't do. Let's just play and see where we end up. " A friend of ours , Steve Yu , filmed the entire workout to track Lex's progress. I put a few shots up on the site. Talk about inspiration.

After hanging with Lex in Atlanta , I headed to Oklahoma City to speak to some of the troops for the second time in 2 weeks that were coming back home after 15 months from Iraq . This is the second time I made this trip to Oklahoma City in the past 2 week. I spoke to the troops about Living Life at 90%. . Both of these speaking engagements were set up by the Army as retreats for the soldiers and their families to help them reconnect with a positive attitude . The response from the first talk was so positive that they brought me back this Saturday to talk to about 30 of the single soldiers . After I finished my talk , I do a Q&A and then took them all through a YRG workout. I've got some of the pictures up on the site.

Lastly- This is your absolute last chance to get your first edition YRG dvds at www.YRGworkout.com . The present YRG site will be "closed for remodeling" in the next couple of weeks but we will be relaunching in March with the all new YRG Fitness System. Hey Guys,
So you might be wondering what have I been up to for the last month so… Well, for starters Angie and I are just flying home from Halloween party in Phoenix that buddies the Weisman Brother's Rob, Randy and Joey invited us to. It was a fun party and got to hang my man Ken Foree who you might remember from Devils Rejects. We stayed at a place I recommend called the Feista Resort Inn which was totally relaxing, the people were incredibly friendly and they have Great beds.
In other news we finally finished filming testimonies, workouts, photo sessions and footage for the new "YRG Fitness System" infomercial. Which is the new name of our program because it's not just a workout any more it's a lifestyle that has taken took months... No wait make that Years to prepare and I've got to tell you it is all looking totally Awesome. I am so proud of way the whole thing is coming together. Our target date is to test our YRG infomercial around the middle of January... Nina Resnikoff who is our Ex Producer who is know as the "Infomercial Queen" says our only problem is we have so many great testimonies she having trouble figuring out who's going to be in the 30 minute show... If you going to have a problem this is the one I want to have:) I want to thank my partners and Producers Jim Paratori and my main man Eric Pankowski for believing in my vision and making my dream a reality... it just proves if you are really passionate about something... believe in yourself... work your ass off and continue to move forward no matter how many times you fall down or doubt yourself...

Anything possible...
Here is a great article that came out in the Baltimore Sun about Arthur, YRG and DDP…check it out here and you feel like sending to someone who you think needs to be inspired ... please send it on...

http://www.baltimoresun.com/entertainment/custom/today/bal-to.hs.yoga22sep22,0,3338084.story?page=1
A few weeks back I took my buddies Alan Ludloff and Eric Watts to Knoxville to watch the Tenn Vols beat Mississippi State 34-3. Tennessee Vols strength and conditioning coach Johnny Long has the entire football team doing YRG as part of their practice routine. From what I understand the lady Vols basketball team and volleyballs teams are doing it as well. The picture below is with Watts and Long... we are standing inside the Vols indoor practice field... it must have 60 foot ceilings for kick offs and punts... I popped when Johnny told me that he brings out a projector and speakers and put YRG and DDP on one of the huge walls so the whole team can do YRG right there on the astroturf ... Johnny says he's going to be bringing me in train the guys after the season is over... I expect to give them my talk about "Living Life at 90%"' and then take it right into a kickass Vols workout because you know these players always bring there A Game... which is a good thing because their going to need it... Ha! I'm really looking forward to it.
After a tour of the facility... Johnny's wife Misty who is a total sweetheart showed us how to tailgate Vols style. These Guys and Gals can Party... Then Misty hooked us up with sideline passes and one of the coaches even pulled us into the locker room to hear the pre-game speech given by Coach Fulmer. You could really see the players and ass. coaches love Coach Fulmer...
I just this minute heard they fired coach Fulmer and I had to add on this to the email I was just getting ready to send out... That is so F'd up to me... Coach Fulmer is a legend... this is a guy went to Tenn and played football for them and was even the captain of the team... He went on to be an assistant coach until he was name the head coach 15 years ago... talk about paying your dues... As head coach... Fulmer record was 150-50... in the SEC... he had one losing season and the SEC the toughest devision in college football... it's a damn shame... I know Johnny and players think the world of the coach and I wish them all the best over these turbulent times...
I left Knoxville and headed straight to Tampa Bay. Smokey picked me up at the airport and took me to the hotel where we met buddies Johnny G and Joe Gomez who I consider “the Mayor of Tampa” because of all of his connections. Derrick Brooks hooked us up with sideline passes and 50 yard line seats in the front row. The view doesn't get any better than this... I took this shot from our seat... notice there are no heads in from of us.

Tampa defense is tremendous this year and only gave up a TD in the last 2 minutes when the game was already decided. Tampa beat the Seahawks 20-10. The energy was electric considering the Tampa Bay Rays were playing the Red Sox in game 7 in the same city. The place went crazy when they saw the Rays take the lead. After the football game was over they showed the baseball game on the big screen so about 10,000 people who stayed and watched the Rays beat the Red Sox to get to the World Series.
So I get back to my Tampa hotel room it was 1:00 am. With the Rays win in game 7 the town was alive and I could have been up all night. But I had to get up at 6:00 am and head to Brooks-Debartolo Collegiate high school with D Brooks. Besides being a 10 time All–Pro linebacker D Brooks is a huge advocate and supporter of education. DB started this own charter high school for kids who wanted to get the best education they can get. These kids actually have to apply to come to this school. I gave an inspirational talk and asked “Who here was going to College”…every kid raised their hand. I've asked that question over years at every school I have talked at and I got to tell you I never saw that kind of response before... After speaking to the kids I took them through a short YRG Workout with D Brooks out there doing it with us.
D Brooks does the full YRG workout once a week during the season and in the offseason he does it YRG times a week. DB credits YRG with being one of the key reason he has been able to stay at the top of his game at 35 years Young. Students came up to me afterwards and said they wanted to start a YRG club at the school. Principal Dr. Phildra Swagger emailed me the other day supporting the idea as part of their fitness programs. See more about the school at www.bdchs.org/

After the school event that I went to Steve Kern’s Florida Championship Wrestling which is a Farm league for WWE. I went there to see my mentor Dusty Rhodes and Steve who run FCW. Something cool they are doing now is training seminars. Where anybody with the dream of being a wrestler can come and try out... Guys and Gals who go to these one week seminars have the opportunity to learn from the very best. Steve in the Ring and I can’t imagine someone better to teach microphone skills then the The Dream Dusty Rhoade. To top it off the day I was there these guys and gals got to hear from John Cena and Sgt. Slaughter. The trainers down there are some of the best hands in the business…Tommy Pritchard, Billy Kidman, Norman Smiley. Expect some great new talent to come up to WWE from FCW.
So what else…There was so much preparation to create all the new YRG Fitness System…. it was even more than I could ever imagine. We are going to have 9 new YRG workout dvds that take YRG and you to the next level. So if you bought the first ones you will be ready to move forward and will love the next generation of YRG. It is a completely different workout with the same basic principles. We shot for 4 grueling days in a row but I lovedit… I was actually watching a dream manifest right before my very eyes.
After 4 twelve hour days, not counting travel, the last day of shooting I finished up just in time to get home, pack and take a red eye to Philly. I was going to a wrestling show called Signamania. There are some great pictures on the site. I can never sleep on a planes so when I got to the hotel I totally passed out for all of 3 hours and then my buddy Robbie Kanoff (the Toy King) picked me up and took me to breakfast before the show. Robbie is the man responsible for the first DDP action figure ever... back when no one thought DDP was going to be anything. By the time this action figure came out it was 1997 and DDP and the Diamond Cutter was on top of the world... Thanks bro...
I got to the show and the first person I saw when I walked though the door was man I was hoping to talk to…the Nature Boy Ric Flair. There has been a lot said about the heat between Flair and I over the years and I wanted to address it. I walked up to him and said “Ric, you mind if I talk to you for a second?” Of course he obliged, we walked over to a corner and I said “Ric we both know there has been some heat between us over the years” and before I can say another word, he said “Dallas, I’m alright with everything. None of that matters” I said “Ric it matters to me... because you were someone I admired growing up. Before I got into wrestling... like everyone else I loved the Nature Boy and I want to make sure we have don't have any more heat... whatever has been said, I like to let it all go and just start over” he said “ consider it done... there is no heat between us” We shook hands and of course I had to pull him in for a big hug... Ha! Then who walks in right at that very moment…Piper... Classic... Piper and Flair’s relationship is legendary over the year and Roddy and I have always been cool as well. Hot Rod came up to me and said “Dallas, thank you so much for sending me all the YRG Workouts”' ... Then Terry runnels showed up and we got some classic pictures with Terry me Piper and Flair. Very Cool... If you go to the site... there are 4 pictures in a row of us together and Piper says something to me that was pretty funny and someone from the crowd said a comment to what Piper said and we all busted out laughing... I wish I could remember what he said... The signing went great, one of my favorite parts was sitting next to Sgt. Slaughter he's such a class act ... Actually Sarg was on the first radio interview I ever did before I was even in the AWA as DDP… DDP was only a figment of my imagination at that time.

Another unexpected special moment at the show was a little girl who could not have been more than 7 years old came up to me and threw her arms open and said “I Love You DDP”…I am thinking there is no way this little girl could have ever seen me wrestle. Then her Dad holds up the “Ready to Rumble” dvd movie and tells me she has watched it over 100 times. Her eyes light up and she says “Give me a Big Hug!” Here's a review from the show.
Wrestlingfigs.com had a good write up on the show…here is what they said about it:

DDP: May have stolen the show, even from RODDY!!! He was the last wrestler to be there. Signing for every fan and wouldn't leave until every fan got a photo and autograph. What a great guy. He seemed really thrilled to be there and enjoyed himself. The BigKing and I told him how we always liked him and asked him for a quick photo of him holding The BigKing's US title, while all three of us did the "Positivley Page" faces and Diamond Cutter.
Interesting note-One of the big sellers of the show for us was indeed Page, but the BigKing couldn't get an autograph ticket in time, which kinda upset him. So after we get our photo, Page also looked at The BigKing's US Title and said "Do you want me to sign it?" He responded by telling Mr. Page he didn't order a autograph ticket. DDP then pulled out a pen and said "Who the ::blank:: cares?" and proceeded to sign it, leaving a great impression on both us. DDP is truley a "Diamond" worthy guest! I don't know about stealing any show from Hot Rod but it was a good time...
I left the Philly show and headed across the state line to my home state of Jersey, where I was booked at an indy wrestling show signing autographs and hitting a few Diamond Cutters before leaving the building with 3 of my closest friends. I have been best friends with this trio since I was about 7 years old Kenny Jimbo and Kevin.

I partied with my Jersey brothers until 5 in the morning... that was a tough morning or mid morning or whatever time it was when I woke up... after breakfast I hoped in a plane and headed back to Los Angeles, unpacked, packed and next day headed out to Cabo, Mexico with Angella for 8 days... a long over due vacation... the kind of vacation where I don't go or do anything but eat, drink, read and surf... it was beautiful... the resort was called Me Cabo... the place is sweet check out the pictures on the site... you may want to check it out in person...

Another cool thing to happen to me last month was my sister Sally and my brother in law Paulie came out to spend a long weekend with me and Angie in the land of LA... the best part besides spending quality time with two of my favorite people on the planet was they came while we were filming a part of the YRG infomercial at a College gym... It's a really cool part of the infomercial where I take a 100 people through the YRG workout... it came out great and having Sally and Paulie it made it that much sweeter.

A lot of you have written me know to let me know that you've seen saw me on the tube a lot lately…the AWA Classics on ESPN 2, Ready to Rumble is being played a lot and another movie is being played now on Showtime called Splinter…if you like CSI type shows then you will dig this movie.
You can also see me in 2 Yoga movies coming out. One is Yoga: Enlighten Up ... here is the trailer ...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kKQw0-IlJiY
The other is Y Yoga movie. Here is the trailer and link... You can buy this one on line right now if you want... I have quite a few scenes in this movie...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0cezCLT60Bs
And that's finally it...
As always it's been your pleasure ... as well as mine...

Hey Cutters...
First thing I want to do is send a HUGE birthday shout-out to my bro Smokey! Smokey is hitting the Big 50!! I've known Smoke for decades, since my days in the bar business. Last year, he told me that he wanted to make some big changes to his life and his health before he hit 50. I introduced him to YRG and he really took it to heart. He's to YRG what Jared is to Subway sandwiches. Smokey has definitely met and exceeded the goal he set for himself for his 50th birthday, and I couldn't be prouder of him. Happy Birthday, Smokey!!
HAPPY 50TH BIRTHDAY, SMOKEY!!!
I want you guys to know that I appreciate the concerned emails that I have received about me going on my trip to Iraq... To put your minds to ease I honestly feel it's not my time so don’t worry yourself about it... Like most of you I think this war SUCKS but I believe in our troops... I have been lucky enough to have lived a world full of dreams because of these men and women and the ones that have come before them and any time I get the chance I want to give back so they know they are not forgotten... And I know I can make a difference to just about everyone I meet on this trip because I am not just going to be spending 10 seconds with each one of them as they move down the line taking pictures with the World Championship Title ...
DDP with the Troops in Iraq
This time I am going to be able to spend some real quality time with the troops and share something that will help them out when times get really tough... YRG is a body and mind workout... It works your body because in a very short time you start to become more flexible ... you become stronger ... You not only feel a change in your body but it’s also helps to focus your mind... And it even teaches you to breathe like you did as child again which there are a shitload of benefits from... there are only two things we control in this world (think about it) the way we think... the way we react to a situation and the way  we breathe... Imagine just for a moment that you are being shot at (by real bullets) from numerous directions ... You heart pumping a mile a minute... Scared shitless... What do you do to fight that awful feeling how do you gain control... Well for starter you breathe deep and slow... It calms you ... It gives you focus... Think of the last BIG verbal FIGHT you had... How were you breathing ... Short and fast right... Like I said earlier how you breathe will dictate how you think... When you breathe short and Quick you just react... you don’t think before you speak or react... we are all guilty... When you can control you breathing it will help you control you mind and when you are getting shoot at from all directions this can be very beneficial... Yes I guarantee you if you learn how to control the way you breathe it absolutely will help you with the way you think... I hope to see as many of our troops participate as possible in YRG with DDP... Yoga in a war zone what a concept... I will be leaving on August 25th and be back in LA around the 6th... It’s going to be a great trip!
I received an email from Gayle Jones (aka Aunt Precious) whose son I met on my last trip to Iraq that I want to share. Gayle, I hope that's ok.

Subject: Re: DDP off to Iraq

DDP,
As you know, I am the mother of two soldiers. One, Sgt. Jake Brice was deployed to Iraq on during one of your earlier trips to the region. When you were there before, you made a HUGE impact on the soldiers you met. They were impressed that, unlike many other famous people, you did not make an appearance in Kuwait, do a virtual wave to the forward-deployed soldiers, and head back home thinking you really made a difference. No - instead you went from FOB to FOB (Forward Operations Base). You went where the ground troops were - where they were STILL engaging the enemy, dodging IEDs, RPGs and small arms fire. You were in the Sunni triangle, which is where all the stuff happens that we hear about on TV.
Many soldiers, my sons included, grew up watching you on WWF/WWE/WCW, and considered your presence to be a big BIG deal! You portrayed a tough guy in sports entertainment, but then you showed in a real tangible way that you ARE a tough guy, with a soft heart for our soldiers.
I will be praying for you during this next journey, and I am sure God has a ton of work left for you to do on this earth, so I look forward to seeing you back in St. Louis in January of '07. But in the meantime, I applaud and thank you for again putting yourself in harms way to raise the morale of our Soldiers and Marines stationed in Iraq.
I am glad I had the chance to meet you face to face to tell you how much your visit meant to my son and the other soldiers last time. Thanks for not making it a one-time shot. Thanks for not forgetting that other sons and daughters, moms and dads, are still serving, and dying for our right to be free!
God Bless you, DDP!

On an other note I got to do the the Adam Carolla radio show last week... The entire crew were great ... I brought Angella for the Yogababe affect which worked like a dream... I have to say I was really blown away because Adam's whole crew was actually into it... I even got Tad or Fat Tad as they call him to start YRG... Tad is a really cool guy and I hope he can stick to the YRG program and he takes control so that he can “Owns his Life”... Tad would really inspire soooooo many people... I put his first start up pictures like Smokey did so you can see where is starting from... He’s supposed to start YRG next week I will keep you posted in the weeks to come... If you want to see the pictures clink here www.diamonddallaspage.com or if you would like to listen to the program go to my site and listen to the show www.diamonddallaspage.com... I think it is the best one I have done on YRG and had a really fun time so far... They actually like it so much the replayed it again later that week...
DDP with Adam Carolla
Also on the front page of my site is an other great story in New Jersey Monthly about YRG www.njmonthly.com/issues/june06/ddp.html as well as a story on 49er Tony Parrish's yoga workout routine that appeared on the cove of SI ... It is a very impressive article of the benefits of Yoga... Imagine if he was doing YRG... That would take him to the next planet... But I find it amusing how many athletes are coming out of the closet about doing any form of yoga...

What else I got a chance to see Los Lonely Boys this week again and I’ll tell you they just keep getting better and better ... It was a pleasant surprise to see my buddy John Schiender (JRS) and his beautiful wife Elly... The LLB were
fantastic I’ve got some great shots for them on this site www.diamondallaspage.com
Angella, John Schneider, DDP and John's beautiful wife Elly
These guys can do it all...
Los Lonely Boys live on stage in Los Angeles
Last weekend I also went to the set of Collier & Co.  the movie... They did a dangerous 120 jump across a creek... JRS asked me to come by for some moral support... The jump as it turned out was a success keep an eye out for Collier & Co.  coming to theaters in 2007...

That’s all for now I am rushing to the airport as finish this email up... The pictures won’t be posted on the site for a couple of days but you can listen to the Carolla show and read the articles now... Till next time its been your pleasure... As well as mine.
Have a Great day!Be Unstoppable...?

Hey Guys,
I have got HUGE news, we have a brand new DiamondDallasPage.com site up and rolling and it is the coolest site I have done to date. Mostly because it is 6 sites in one.

The first site on there that I want to talk about is TeamYRG.
What is TeamYRG? It is a community that helps encourage others along their YRG journey by sharing their stories. Think of it as a support team. We've been doing it for some time on Yrgworkout.com and this just seemed like the next evolution. TeamYRG is made up of Regular Guys / Gals that made a decision to Own their Lives with YRG. Now you can share your story and inspire others to achieve their goals. As a member you get your own customizable page, blog, and friends list. So don't be afraid to reach out and ask someone for advice or encouragement ...
TeamYRG gives you new tools to share your stories and interact with all the other members of Team YRG. Your profile is your home in the TeamYRG. Upload your very own picture gallery, set your preferences, even design the look of your profile! Your friends can leave you comments on your profile, and you can leave comments on theirs! Click on someone's profile to make a connection (add as a friend) so you can easily find them later. Here is an example of the kind of posts that we are getting:
"Thanks for YRG. Did the 20 minute workout yesterday, and it was great, got my 8 year old son and wife to join in! Thought my son kept saying "Dad you sure your not going to hurt yourself! ha" It was funny. And thanks for the motivational CD. Again was listening to "Own your life" with my son on the way home, by the time we got home he had, on his own, written down that this year he wanted to be on the A/B honor roll at school, and to get his presidents physical fitness certificate! And when i asked him if he was going to do this, he remarked, Dad failure is not an option! I said I love that attitude! I always tell him that I don't always expect him to be perfect, but I always want him to give his all. And I would be honored to add you to my friends list."
How do I become a Member TeamYRG?
Simple, if you have purchased a YRG Fitness and you wanna become part of the team just come by and sign up... or join now and go get your YRG workout at the YRG Store!
Another section of the DiamondDallasPage.com site is my brand new Actor site where you can see pieces of my work on my acting reel or media reel... You will find projects I have worked on in the past and info on new releases that aren’t out yet.
Speaking of acting, I just filmed an independent movie in Detroit called "Red and Blue Marbles" where I played a bartender which was a real stretch for me since I grew up in the bar business... Ha!
Another acting role I am in the process of just finishing up is for John Schneider, aka JRS (Dukes of Hazard, Smallville and Nip Tuck) for his new TV show he's filming on Catalina Island called “26 miles”.
I play a guy named Harry Connor who is a very colorful character who thinks of himself as more of a pirate. "26 miles" is an hour long, fun comedy that is really well written and has a lot of great actors. It was tailor made for JRS who is the star, and I have been friends with for quite some time now.
A lot of people in Hollywood will tell you it is who you know and who knows you…I believe it is all about who is willing to say they know you and put their names on the line for you. JRS put his name on the line for me because he had seen pieces of my work and knew as a personality I would be perfect for the part…I never even auditioned for the part but, I put a lot of work into the character Harry Connor and after the first day of shooting the writers and directors where very happy with what I came up with... I sure as hell didn't want to make JRS look bad for stepping up for me. One of the sweet extras is, Harry, who is an ex Vietnam Vet and a little wild and crazy, does YRG and they worked it right into the show... Check out pics on the site. Click here for the pics
I also have a brand new Inspirational Speaker site.
You want to see me, DDP inspire people and move them to action…well you will find that and more on this site. My latest speaking gig was for 15 dealerships owned and operated by Jim Click... of Jim Click Automotive in Arizona. Here I combined my concept of “Living Life at 90%” and took them through a special breakout presentation of the YRG Workout. Equally as inspiring both mentally and physically. The responses we have gotten back from this speaking engagement are incredible.
Here is a response that was sent to my booking partner Marlon at DDPSpeaks.com
To: Marlon Ransom <marlon@ddpspeaks.com>
Went into the class very much against the idea. After spending time listening to DDP's story and being in his class, was very pleseantly suprised. My wife and ordered the fat burner cd and are currently on our second week of use. While my eventual goal was to become much more flexable and then loose some weight. I skipped my weight lifting for two weeks and only did DDP's fat burner, tonight was my first time back to lifting and while I still have a long way to go on flexability, my strengeth was up and weight was dow. Thanks for the lessons to DDP's and his crew.
If you want to book me for an inspirational speaking gig click here
After I finished the Inspirational speaking gigs at Click automotive I went of to U of A (University of Arizona) and took their new young QB Matt Scott and one of the coaches Kris Heavner and a few other guys through the YRG Workout. From what Kris tells me, some of the other players have added YRG to their workouts as well... just like Georgia Tech football, basketball and golf teams have. Yoga Doc actually teaches those classes when they aren't using the Regular Guys DVDs.
Even the Tennessee Vols football team are doing the YRG DVDs. Check out this article and soundbite from the Vols strength coach Johnny Long. The really cool part is I never even meet the guy... YET... but I plan on it! If you're reading this in Tennessee tell Johnny to drop me an email! Talk to you soon Johnny!
If you push play here you can even hear the strength coach being interviewed about YRG and DDP

And last but not least for all you Wrestling fans out there I have brought back one of my original DDP wrestling website sites designed by the web genius who started it all Rick Schmick... It's the same OLD SCHOOL DDP wrestling website (1996 - 2000) with just a little bit of a face lift from our new webmaster Robert McLearren that will walk you down memory lane with a BANG! Some of the best parts of the new version of this site are the You Tube videos that are posted... I actually added some behind the scenes commentary of what you are about to watch or what led up to it. We will be constantly adding Old School wrestling footage and pictures to this site. If you have any Old School pics from my wrestling days then send your pictures to webmaster@DiamondDallasPage.com Eventually we will have a “fans pics” section on the website.
Don’t forget that we have extended the Free Own Your Life offer with any YRG DVD purchase at the YRG Store. We have started filming the YRG infomercial and it is incredible. A lot of this has to be kept under wraps until it launches but check out some of the GREAT pics on the site. YRG is going to change the World and maybe the Universe!

It's been your pleasure... as well as mine!

Do you feel Lucky?
Hey Guys

You're damn right I do. Why? because I not only got to see one of my hero's Clint Eastwood honored at the screening of the Original Dirty Harry but I got to meet him and even get a picture with him... and NO I didn't have the balls to ask Dirty Harry to do the Diamond Cutter with me... Ha! Obviously I am a HUGE mark for the guy... GO figure... Clint... Wayne and Ali... one name says it all... Legend... Another legend I got to meet was Jon Voight. For a kid who grew up in the 70’s to have been lucky enough to not only hang with but also talk to the Midnight Cowboy and Dirty Harry
on the same night was way to cool. After the screening they gave everybody a 44 Magnum made of chocolate. If you get a chance to pick up this series it is definitely worth the buy. Warner Brothers is releasing the Dirty Harry Franchise today on the new blu-ray HD disc. I wanna thank Tim Sullivan (Director Driftwood) and PR Queen Jennifer Gonzalez for the hook up... Way more Pictures on site.

Let’s start with some old news first. We had our first YRG Certification course last month.
The YRG Certification Course was not only was this a learning experience for my students it was a great learning experience for me as well... It was also a chance for everyone to meet some of the most recognized YRG members…Terri, Dylan and Arthur. After our first session which was about 7 hours, one of the attendees, Eric Bischoff’s son Garrett, pulled me aside and said he wanted to catch up since we haven’t seen each for years. What I didn’t realize he was doing was keeping me busy while my girl Angella was putting together a surprise party for my 52nd B-Day. It was a great party and even Stone Cold Steve Austin and Eric Bischoff showed up. Pictures on the site at www.DiamondDallasPage.com

After the final 7 hours of YRG training on Sunday we handed out the YRG Certificate Of Completion. I want to thank Kimberly for coming out from Salt Lake City, I couldn’t have done it without her…and Yoga Doc was sorely missed but was sick. Our next Certification course will take place after our National launch of YRG which should be January 2009.

Not only did our youngest YRG Certification member, 16 year old Dylan Frymyer, pass the YRG Certification course but he also surpassed the 100 pound weight loss barrier in 10 months.

At 5’7” he dropped from 292 pounds to 192 pounds and is strong as an Ox. Now he is wrestling Indy shows and can be seen with Steve Corino in the Northeast. (what is Corino’s show called). Dylan is truly living his dream with YRG. Check out Dyaln’s link to see his journey www.myspace.com/yrgdylan Each email I want to mention some of the top You Tube videos that are posted. Dylan created a great one with some of the best Diamond Cutters ever called ...
Diamond Cutter on Everyone http://youtube.com/watch?v=b3yx4-Po1iw

Yeah Dylan lost 100 pounds with YRG but
15 year old Tyler Page gained 20 pounds of muscle

and his brother 14 year old Christian Page gained 50 pounds of muscle...

YEAH I said Muscle in one year with YRG and my way of eating for Mass and Health. I have been working with both of the Page brothers to achieve their goals for a little over a year now. All 3 of these kids understand that WORK ETHIC = RESULTS and to say I am proud of them would be an understatement. Check out the Page bros site and see their journey.

Just want to remind you guys if you want to catch DDP Live then come over the Sports Park in Playa Vista on Saturday mornings at 10 am or Equinox at 7:15 pm in Santa Monica, CA on Monday nights. Or if you work for Warner Brothers you can catch me on the basketball court every Tuesday night at 6:30 doing YRG. You can always see the schedule at www.YRGWorkout.com under YRG class schedule

Got to see one of the best playoff games ever, Game 1 Lakers vs. Spurs in Los Angeles. Kobe didn’t show up in the first half and the Lakers were down by 20 in the third quarter… but he sure as hell showed up in the second half and scored 29 making the it one of the best comebacks in Lakers history. My good buddy Chris Click hooked us up 6 rows center court across from Jack Nicholson. What a game!

Coming Soon: We are developing a whole new DDP Website which will literally be 4 sites in one. Fitness Guru/YRG Workout, Inspirational Speaker, Actor and some of my past old school wrestling sites. That's right we are bringing back some of my old school wrestling websites it should be like going through DDP’s time vault from 1996 to 2003. This is when Rich in KC, Rich Schmick, wrote the first Diamond Cutter email which was him interviewing me... I let you know when it's ready...

Wrestling Question of The Month

I want to try to start answering 1 question each email that you guys ask me repeatedly:

This one came in from Shawn Manfredo:

I need to know that when DDP was down in the dumps back in his WCW days and he was losing all his money and had to sell off his tights and such. Then a limo picked him up and a "benefactor" got him his back on his way. Who the benefactor was? This was never resolved. The mystery still haunts us to this day

I got to tell you that is one of the most frequently asked questions…EVER! I literally would have arguments with Eric Bischoff telling him we needed to answer this question. He told me we didn’t…he told me NOBODY CARES. He was wrong then and he is still wrong today… Ha! There are a chosen group of people, like Shawn, who really give a damn. So who was the benefactor…since I am really the only one who knows…it was always Kimberly. The answer could have been that simple and gave everyone the closure they were looking for!

As usual it was your pleasure... as well as mine...
